Fixed Bridges

Dental Fixed Bridges in Apex NC and Cary NC

What is a fixed dental bridge?

A fixed dental bridge is a useful tool in maintaining the health of your mouth, the structure of your face, and the ability to chew, smile, and speak properly. Oral health is an important component of overall physical health, as well as emotional well-being. Sometimes a fixed dental bridge may be required to improve the appearance and/or function of your mouth and gums.

Fixed dental bridges are designed to be permanent, and are most often used to replace a missing tooth or missing teeth, and keep remaining teeth from shifting out of their proper positions. Typically a dental bridge is made out of porcelain that is fused to metal, and then anchored in your mouth using your own teeth (typically one tooth on either side of the area that needs to be filled). The result is comfortable and durable appearance and function.

Fillings, root canals, and crowns are all utilized by dentists to fix minor problems such as cavities and chipped teeth, but in the event that you are missing teeth altogether, you’ll want to speak to us about a fixed dental bridge. Fixed bridges sound complex, but the procedure is done usually in just a couple of visits. Numbing medications are used to eliminate pain, and moldings of your gums, teeth, and mouth are taken to ensure a proper and comfortable fit of the permanent oral device.

When contemplating fixed dental bridges to mask the appearance of a missing tooth, keep in mind that function is as important as appearance. Our dentists in Apex NC and Cary NC, will explain the options available, and go over the procedure process with you. If you have any questions about the placement, feel, or use of a bridge after it is fitted, be sure to schedule an appointment with one of our dentists in Apex NC and Cary NC. We want you to be as comfortable as possible.

I had an excellent experience at Magnolia Way Dentistry. From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and made the visit feel very personal. I recently had a filling done, and it was the smoothest procedure I’ve ever had, everything was handled with true professionalism. Dr. John is outstanding and truly the best. Highly recommend!

This is an excellent dental practice with warm and caring staff. The dentist is young and most kind. I found them when I moved to town, but had to wait for my other dental insurance to expire so that I could sign up for their annual plan, which is a great deal - probably better than having dental insurance. Highly recommend.

Very pleasant first time experience here. The entire staff very pleasant and answered any questions I had. My cleaning was great, and teeth feel very clean. Dr. John took time to answer my questions and gave me advice on how to keep teeth clean. Over all a great dental practice. I also like that fact that it is a private dental practice.
